California Eviction

Where can I go to learn more about California's landlord-tenant law?

How do I find out if I have an eviction in California?

Fortunately for residents of California, the Judicial Council of California published an array of Web pages that answer questions about landlord-tenant laws in California. In this guide is the subsection Eviction Questions & Answers: A Guide for Tenants where readers can find the document What kind of notice does the landlord have to give the tenant?

I will not reproduce the contents of that page here. However, in summary, the notice must be in writing and given to the tenant three days before the eviction. Therefore, if you were evicted legally, you should have received a notice three days before it happened. Read the last link I mentioned above.

Consult with an attorney if you have questions about the facts in your case, or about California landlord-tenant law.

I hope this information helps you Find. Learn & Save.
