While not able to meet face to face with loan officers, Emery Federal Credit Union has still managed to make customers feel comfortable with the loan process. They work with many of the top national lenders allowing for more choices and flexibility for all borrowers.

Pros: Excellent Customer Service. Honest, Efficient Loan Officers
Cons: Very Few Retail Branches. The Loan Process Is Done All Over The Phone, Making For A Slightly Less Personal Experience.

They were super helpful, in particular Frank. He was wonderful and helped me evaluate several loan products and ultimately a fixed-rate 30-year mortgage loan. Thanks for the great help, Emery Federal.

I have spent 4 months trying to get a refi finalized with Emery in So Cal. It has been a nightmare. I was told time and again 'we are about tho close' and then they delayed time and again. They even tried to pull a bait and switch and up the rate at the 11th hour. I thought this sort of thing had been eradicated from the financial services system, but I guess not.

I tried for 9 months to refinance our home loan through Emery Federal. I was told several times that we were about to close, just submit new pay stubs, etc. and was always delayed, even though I jumped through their many hoops. The final straw was when they wanted ME to pay for another appraisal because the first one was outdated ("declining market") because they had taken so long to close our loan. I wasn't about to fork out another $415 with the strong possibility that we would NEVER close!

What a great experience, better than any lender I have worked with in the past. Frank is amazing, I have referred many friends to him and we have all been pleased with the great service.

Please be carefull of the mortage Part 6 weeks into the process and Justin F calls me to tell me that I own to many houses. States They can not fund the loan. He knew how many houses I owned from day one and how many loans I had. Not very cool to be at the end of your escrow and getting slammed when they had the proper info. Please just be carefull obvious they Justin and his manager have a poor knowledge base. Becarefull please!!!

I was pleased with my refinance through Emery. I got one of the lowest rates available at the time, and my rep was very friendly and easy to deal with - so friendly, I kept thinking this was a scam, but it was all legit. Emery is just a broker, so my loan was set up through Quicken Loans, and I think Emery's size allows them to get better rates than going to a lender directly.

Our home loan was a little tougher to do so it took 2 months before we closed. They were very helpful with any questions I had and from start to finish the cost and rate were the same so that was good and unexpected. I would refer them to my family and friends.

Nice service

The cost of our loan was lower then our bank and the rate was better. this honestly was a solid experience and glad our refinance is done. it took about 3 weeks and we got a 15 year loan fixed. I know some peoples experience may not be the best but your financial situation may not be the best eithert it may be harder to get refinanced then others. overall Emery is pretty darn good

I am currently working with emery on a loan. we are closing March 3rd. it has taken about a month and half but its closing. we got a rate that was better then 2 other places that we looked at. were saving 147.00 per month and went down to a 20 year loan. i would say they are a B+ for how good they are. if took less time they would be an A.

PLEASE BEWARE

Emery is nothing but a mortgage broker with due to being a federal credit union is license exempt in all states. Like a broker they take your loans and it sits for a month with a processor who than submits the loan to the real lender-Bank- At which time the bank will send the approval with another 3 weeks with conditions that take another week or two to clear-If your lucky your loan will close in two months most of the time even longer- Do not waste your time with a mortgage broker especially Emery.

No lender should have to ask what a mortgage committment letter is. No lender should pull an underwriting condition a week before a committment letter is due and then point the finger at everyone else. If you want a real lender who can actually get you to the settlement table, call anyone else under the sun, except Emery Credit Union. My dog undertands more than EFCU does. Thankfully I'll never have to use them again. NO MORE Military Houseing Fund deals for me.

Worked with Kevin Weaver from Emery. We communicated back and forth our expectations. I told him what it would take to earn my business. He made it happen. That's all I need.

Hello, I hope you guys read this before deciding on using Emery Credit Union. I have had to jump through hoops without any communication by my loan officer. He doesn't return calls, he wont even email me. When a customer has a question he or she should get answers. I regret using this company and if anyone of you have a question on what to do if you are unsatisfied about this company then feel free to call me at 5863544542. I will help those who are dealing with VA loans or refinances with the VA. I have enough of these fly by night companies acting like they work for the VA.
