Oct/07Mark CappelOctober 31, 2007Hello, my home went into foreclosure and we are on a forbearance agreement with our mortgage company. I have equity in my home. Why cant I refinance? I am trying to pull money out to pay off the bills I am behind on so I can concentrate on my mortgage. Any help on this would help.

I know it's true that in the state of Texas you can only refinance up to 80% of your equity value. Is the same true for home equity loans in Texas? If so, are there any exceptions?

If a homeowner gets 100% financing when can he refinance that home? Must the home have additional equity or can he refinance as long as mortgage rates are lower than his current loan?
